Blender Join Multiple Objects Into One
Select both objects with copy active.
Blender join multiple objects into one. In object mode left click on one of the objects to join then shift left click on the other object or objects to be joined. Then create a new image for your texture bake create a new material for it and make sure it s selected then go to the textures tab create a new texture. When all the objects are selected press ctrl j to join them. To export to max vrml export works best.
To do so select multiple objects. Joining objects does not geometrically connect them together. Bake combined with selected to active checked. Joining objects is just as easy as separating them.
Create uv map for your bake that include both objects. In object mode you can use the border select or lasso select tools or you can simply shift right click objects to add them to your selection. First join your two object together with ctrl j. So if you 3d print an object joined in blender it wouldn t print as one object.
Then i want to bake the lighting so i do next. I don t know if gmax has vrml import though. This means they move rotate scale and animate like one object but they are not attached. To combine multiple objects select them with shift lmb and pres ctrl j to join them.
This can be done easily with some baking in blender. It simply marks them as one object. The last object you select is considered your active object and is the object that the others join into. Then i merged all objects into one with ctrl j but didnt do unwrap.
