Cd Player Keeps Stopping And Starting

Cd player keeps stopping and starting. I just picked up the. Called dell got india. As they get older they start to lose power and can not read the discs well anymore. It will suddenly pause while playing a cd wait about 15 seconds and then resume playing in the correct place.

Sometimes it plays through once and stops sometimes 2 3 times and stops. This happens very randomly and does not seem to be disc specific nor at a particular place on the disc. Cd player stops has happened 3 times what s up. They can be repaired but often the cost of a repair is a little less than or similar to a new unit with a warranty.
